A quick recipe which I literally couldn’t get enough of!
You will need-
6 (or more) frozen bananas
2-3 tbsp (depending on how many bananas you use and how much of an addict you are!) peanut butter (homemade is best!)
2 (or more) Medjool dates (pitted and soaked for a few hours in about half a cup of water)
2 tbsp Carob powder
1 tbsp Cacao nibs
2 tsp cocoa powder (optional)
Using your blender, blend the frozen bananas with a small splash of water until you get a beautiful ice cream consistency, now you can add the peanut butter after this stage or swirl it in after! Totally up to you!
Next blend the dates, along with the water they have been soaked in, you can add more but I like a thick consistency, then add in the carob powder and the cocoa powder (if you want a proper chocolatey flavour!)
Put in bowl, cup or hey you can even use your hands…I wont judge!
Sprinkle over some Cacao nibs for the crunch factor and wow, perfection in a bowl (or hands..!)
Here is my gorgeous chocolate banana nicecream!
Freeze those bananas, I did 3! Then whizz them in your blender with a small splash of water. (Not too much unless you want a smoothie!!) Then keep whizzing until you achieve an icecream consistency!
Next mix up 1 tablespoon of carob powder with a few teaspoons of palm sugar! Then pour over the nicecream and top with cacao nibs and dark choc chips, yum!
This was my lunch during my raw till four, high carb vegan lifestyle, im so far loving this and not missing meat at all!
It really works!
I ate my oats first and then finished with my refreshing frozen strawberry and banana smoothie!
Give it a whirl!
Today I had a gorgeously sweet toothed breakfast that consisted of beautifully sweet frozen blackberries that were huge, kiwi fruit that was so ripe it literally melted in my mouth and a sprinkling of banana chips!
I finished it off with a few nuts and lashings of almond milk over oats!
I feel like my appetite has been fulfilled and I now wont be hungry until lunch!
